1811's as viable lab??

My work has a couple of extra 1811's that I grabbed in hopes of using for my lab.  I upgraded it to 12.4.24.T8, but some of the commands seem different than a 2600 router or 2950 switch.  Are these still viable options to use for a lab, or should I be looking at something more up to date?

Thanks

J

These are fine. 2600 is very, very old. Routers and switches do not have all the same commands.

Thanks.  Quick question on these.  FA 0 & 1 appear to be different than the switch ports.  I was able to connect my ISP's modem to 0.  I'm now trying to connect my wifi router as an access point.  Are the 0 & 1 ports trunking ports only?  I can't figure out why they're different.

Thanks

They are L3 interfaces. You will need quite a bit of study to understand the difference.
