Hello there,
I would greatly appreciate some assistance. I have installed a NM-ESW-16 in my 2811 router and it is coming up with:
Port adapter is disabled.
The device is showing a green power light and it gives a light on the ethernet port when something is plugged in.. Thus showing me that the device appears to be connected properly.
Any assistance is gratefully appreciated!
Mark

NM-16ESW does not support OIR. Was the router powered OFF when the module was installed? If it was, then post the entire bootup process of the router.

Thanks Leo.
What is OIR?
Will get the serial cable and post the bootup process.

OIR = Online Insertion & Removal.
If a module or component supports OIR then the chassis, in your case the router, can remained powered on and the module or component can be inserted into the chassis. If the module or component doesn't support OIR then the chassis must be powered off first before the module or component gets slotted in.

Thank you so much Leo. That solved the problem. That will teach me to read logs more carefully as I could have solved this myself.
