Hello,
I'm trying to set interface mac address on the Fastethernet interfaces. The switch is an WS-C2924-XL-EN. When I put the mac-address {mac address} command I get an ""mac-address" override is not allowed in this system"
In others switches (the same model) I've been succesful in that issue.
Which can be the problem?
Thanks in advance

You must be running very old IOS on the switches in which you can configure it. XLs do not support this and it was changed through the following bug

I mean, I'm trying to fix the FastEthernet port mac-address.
Well, I've got a lot of this machines. I've done the same in a machine with the IOS C2900XL-H2S-M ver 12.0(5.1)XP.
The version which doesn't work is the IOS C2900XL-C3H2S-M ver 12.0(5.2)XU.
As you can see, the version doesn't work is newer. Moreover, the command exists in both IOS, so it should works, shouldn't it?
Thanks in advance.
