2950 Port LED problem

I connect a cat 4006 with a cat 2950 by a fiber link

now the port LED on 4006 is green, but on the other end of the fiber link, the 2950's port LED stays amber

sh int gig 0/0 shows that both the link and the protocol on the 2950's GBIC port is up, and I can use sh cdp nei to successfully discover the 4006

could someone tell me what the problem is?

The port could be in a STP blocked state. Verify it with the 'show spanning-tree' command.
