At this stage hard to say what was the issue, suggestion is connect the console cable and capture the logs.
we would like to see the logs before it reboot and post reboot complete logs.
Other note you said you tried ? uprade IOS, from which version you have tried ?

In attach the console logs ... as you can see there is no error, no crash or particular messages ...
We tried with 3 different IOS ... now don't remember which is in running ... we tried also a version suggest by cisco in a earlyer support case with another router, alway 2951HSEC+ with hardware module.
This morning my collegue had disabled the vpn hardware module but nothing change ... I'm beginning think that i will must change the device ...
Any ideas or suggestion to other check i can try?
Andrea

Hello
Have you tried reseating the module?
i had a similar problem with a vpn ism in that encryption would peak and max out the router cpu - before I rma’d the module I went in and removed the ism performed an air clean then reseated the module - not had the problem since!

Post the complete output to the following commands:
1. sh version;
2. dir; and
3. sh inventory
