3500XL and errdisable

Hey,

We have quite a large campus here and just to make things safe we decided to implement bpduguard and bpdufilter on our access-layer switch ports. We a good couple of 3500XL switch ports in self-service areas that are now disabled (bpdguguard and bridged ports (soo easy with XP) ) which we have to re-enable every time...So we came up with the idea that we could use the errdisable recovery. However only udld is allowed as a cause on the 3500XL.

Is there another ios version for our switches that allow for other errdisable causes?

Unfortunately, the XL series switches does not have support for errdisable due to BPDU guard

That's what I thought, but I had still a little hope that it would be possible.

I suppose I'll have to play the "shuffle around" game...
