Hi..

what is the command in a 3660 router to find the DRAM bank/slot utilisation. there are 2 banks in 3660 for inserting DRAM chips. i need to know (without opening the box) ,as to how much of dram is there in each slot. i also need the same info for flash slots.

what is the dram/flash bank details by default ?

It might not help you in your particular scenario but here's some complementary information. Starting with 12.3 (CSCdv58200), the "show c3600" command gives you that information on the c3620 and c3640. Unfortunately, from what I can see this has been integrated in the C3660 platform.

Hello,

not 100% sure about this, but to see the flash configuration, you can use the command:

show flash chips

command from the exec mode.

To see the DRAM SIMMM config, AFAIK know you have to get into ROMMON and then issue the command:

meminfo

command, there are several options, I do not remember which one to use.

You might also want to check this document for some background info:

Hi george..

thanks for the info again.. i had figured the flash command before, but was not sure with the DRAM .. the document was useful, but not giving any info on the command.. i think i have to open the box and find out..

one more query, can i have a normal flash card & a 64 MB PCMCIA flash card on the same router and add up the flash memory ?? for eg.. i have an inbuilt 16 MB flash, can i put a 16 MB PCMCIA flash card and make the total memory 32 ? is this compatible ?
