I have 2 stand-alone 3750 switches.
After installing #1 without any problems, i started with #2.
After the basics (ip address, vlan domain etc etc) I looked at my config.
I saw a line: switch 1 provision ws-3750g-24ts and some other lines that i didn't see on switch #1.
I can't connect to the switch by telnet, any via console.
I tried; no switch 1 provision
but this result in the error: %IDB can not be removed in active status.
Can anybody help/advise me?

Hi,
Once the switch has been added to stack you can access it using the command session < stack member number> for example session 1 in your case from the master switch.
1 is the stack memmber number given to the switch the moment it is added to the stack. this is how it works.
The command switch 1 provision copies the config from the stack master to the new added switch to the stack which is the new switch in your case.
You cannot use the command " no switch 1 provision " while the switch is active as a stack member. You can have to take it out of the stack and then you will be able to delete it.

Both switches were never part of a stack (and will never be part of a stack in the futher).
How can I delete this stack configuration?
Please advise/help...

Please paste the output of " show switch neighbors ".
If your switch is connected to the first switch, please disconnect it and then access it and try to run the command " no switch 1 provision ". It should work.then delet the config that you dont want.

Is it possible for you to upload the physical connectivity of the two switches? By stanalone I assume that the switches are not connected through a stack cable on the back. When the cable is disconnected there is no question of switch being active or stack master or anything like that and you shoud be able to negate all the commands related to stacking config. Are these switches in production? You can try one thing, disconnect all the uplinks from these switches and then wipe off the config and rebulid it.Looks like the swithes were in stack before and u removed the cable from back but the switch still somehow thinks that it is in stack.
Note:When you remove the switch from an existing stack, you have to power off that switch.

I do not see anything wrong with this and should not have any impact on telnet or user traffic. Can you paste output of following commands from both the switches?
sh switch detail
sh run
