We are currently searching a replacement for our 5500. I am debating between a 6509 and 4510R. Besides the performance difference, is there really any advantage of selecting the 6509. The 5500 is currently supporting 180 connections and the RSM contains about 200 VLANs interfaces. We are also looking at implementing VoIP within the next 2 years (I know it's still far away. :)).
Any thoughts or suggestions.
Thanks.

It's my core switch. VoIP is something we plan on deploying within the next year to two along with VoD.
Are you suggesting the 6509 is better suited for these type of deployments compared to the 4510?
