802.1q-tunnel on Cat3550

Hi,

are there any special ios-requirements for implementing 802.1q-tunnel on a Cat3550 switch?

when configuring "switchport access vlan", "switchport mode dot1q-tunnel" on a interface and "vlan dot1q tag native" in global configuration the "show dot1q-tunnel interface <interface-number>" doesn't show the port...

regards

Frank

Frank,

Let us know the version you are running.

Please post a 'show version'

According to Software Advisor, most versions support 802.1q-tunnel.

Can you read this URL and verify config ?

Hi Frank,

The best that I could suggest is refer to Cisco Feature Navigator on http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/Dispatch by chosing IEEE 802.1Q Tunneling in the feture set list, software to be IOS and platform to be CAT3550. You'll get the lost of supported IOS codes.

It is mainly supported in 12.2 and above.
