What is the algorithm used to distribute traffic between the ports of an etherchannel on the 3550? We are using the default distribution method of source-mac. Is there an IOS command I can use to see which port the traffic is using?

Here you go for some exciting reading , http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk389/tk213/technologies_tech_note09186a0080094714.shtml

I have seen that document. It states the following in the 3550 section:
With source-MAC address forwarding, when packets are forwarded to an EtherChannel, the packets are distributed across the ports in the channel based on the source-MAC address of the incoming packet. Therefore, to provide load balancing, packets from different hosts use different ports in the channel, but packets from the same host use the same port in the channel.
My question is how can I tell which MACs are using which port in the channel.
Thanks,
John
