Any loss of performance with NAM installed?

What effect will installing a NAM-2 module cause to a c6509 sup720 when heavily utilised eg capturing data from many ports/vlans.

Are there any stats available for this?

I ask the question because we're thinking of installing these in our data centre core switches and don't want to cause any extra latency to the traffic.

hello.

there is no issue installation nam core or dc switch.

i already use nam on core switch with sup720 and dacacenter switch with sup720.

nam use span session, that is, cat6500 should forward traffic to nam. but there is no perfomance issue. switch just copy from source port to nam.
