Any tips on tracking down an adhoc wireless device?

I walk around with a laptop but can't find it. It appears to be a "b" connection. It gives me a strong signal in the ground floor and all over the data center but nothing on the first floor. It appears to be on all of the time.

The only thing you can do is ask around on the floor and see if anyone chimes up . If not then you can download something like airsnort to see if you can get into the radio . If its a cisco wap and it 's on the network you should be able to track it down thru cdp .
