This is a follow-up question on the 4006 S3 topic. There are only 2 options for the supervisor3 of the catalyst4006. Will I be able to configure appletalk using any of these software versions? Im trying to implement VLAN subnetting in the network and some Machintosh users need to access some servers on different VLANS. Will this work?

Appletalk is currently not supported. It is intended to be supported later this year.

It is to be supported this year? well, can I just upgrade my 4006 S3 to that version? what will it cost me if it is possible?

Yes..it'll just be a software upgrade. IOS upgrades are part of your contract agreement and should be free
