Auto Switching using 2500 Series Router

Hi!

anybody know about how to configure a 2500 series router, having two serial ports com0 and com1 for connecting with two line simultaneously i.e., one VSAT and second LEASE line, so that it will automatically switch between the two line whenever one became down.

Please reply urgently.

Are these connections going point-to-point to another site ? You could use various options including,

a. Use a routing protocol to do the failover (routes will converge over the backup link when primary is down)

b. Use backup interface command

c. Use floating static routes..
