Hi, I'm trying to setup a basic router to router ISDN configuration.. I followed the cisco 2500 config, but when I try to ping the remote router the ISDN fails to connect. I have debuged the isdn call establishment but can't understand why the call connects as unknown.. any help on this would be great. I have attached both router configs and the debug info from both sides.

it appears that your remote router has an incorrect ip address on your BRI0 interface.

Could you explain...??

Hi,
I think the two bri interfaces have to be in the same IP-address-range. So change it on the remote-router to 11.x.x.x 255.0.0.0 (for example 11.11.11.2).
Additional change your routing and the dialer map entry on the local router to that IP address.
Good luck,
Dietmar

I've changed the bri ip address as suggested.. still the same results. The debug is still showing call connects to unknown... could this be a problem with the ISDN ??

I've found the problem..the ISDN was faulty! Not sure if the problem all along but it is all working now.
Thanks to both of you for your help and advice.
