This is a partial output of what I got from a show nvramenv performed on a 4006 sup module:
BlockedGigaportCount="xxxxx"
where xxxxx is a number. Has anyone seen this before? I can't find any reference to this on Cisco's site or in these forums. The switch is functioning fine, so this is more of a preventative measure question.

I found this link after posting. It looks like it may point to a potential problem with the SUP.

If you have the exact error message, you can use the Cisco "output interpreter" tool which could be very helpful (but the error message must be EXACT). The URL for the output interpreter is: https://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/OutputInterpreter/home.pl. If you can not access it, post the exact error and I will look it up for you.
NOTE: the exact error message can be seen in the logging buffer of the switch.
