Hi

We have Cisco 6509 layer 3 switch and do lan route, ver 12.0(3) with vlans. I cannot do deny ip traffic on the vlan interface, like

access-list 108 deny ip any any

then on the vlan 4 interface

ip access-group 108 in

then, from client machine, I still can access NT servers with ftp and map drive on the vlan4.

Who have any idea?

12.0(3)XE is the first release for the MSFC. I don't think it is worth troubleshooting at a 3 year old code. Upgrade it to 12.1(8a)E9 or so and try this again. what is the supervisor code, make sure it is up-to-date as well. Try 5.5.13a or 6-3-5

show version from the supervisor console.

NMP software version is what you are looking for.
