Can I bundle 128Kbps LL with 256 Kbps Isdn dial-up to get aggregate 384K Ba

I have an existing 256 Kbps dial up internet isdn line. By terminating a 128 Kbps internet Lease line on the same router can I increase the net bandwidth to 256 + 128 = 384Kbps. Can this be configured on the Cisco router ?

Are all the lines, ie, lease line & the isdn lines terminating on the same router at the remote end?

Hi , I wl tell u the entire network. There are some 300 PC's that access the internet through a proxy server ( Novell Server ) . This proxy server points to a 2600 series router ( Gateway ) . There is a 4-port bri NM module and WIC-2 A/S card on the router. Currently all the 4 bri ports dial up to provide an aggregate 512 K bandwidth for internet access. Now I wanted to add a 128K Leased line internet bandwidth to the existing 512 K using the existing WIC-2A/S card on the same router.

YES..you can multilink all those isdn lines with leased lines for aggregated bandwidth on the router.. Now that will only possible if all those 4 bri lines and the leased line is from the same isp and isp has some way to bundle them on their side of equipments.

Bundle should be created on both sides of equipment. so talk to your isp and have them bundle those link on their equipments..For cisco router config, you can visit following url for sample config.

hi , I don't know will it work but can I get the aggregate internet bandwidth by having the ISDN act as backup to the serial lease line. ie using the backup interface dialer and backup load-threshols commands... (ISP cannot provide the bundle at his end )

YES..you can configure isdn to act as a backup of serial interface. There are many ways to configure that. You just need to see which is the best method which suits to your network. Here is the link which will help you to decide that.

You say that the ISP cannot provide bundle, even if we use the backup/ load threshold and get the ISDN to dial & connect based on load on the serial...here we do not get a single pipe to any specific destination that will bind them together leading to potential poblems with routing packets.

Are you going to be running any routing protocols with the ISP, I guess not.
