Hi,
I got a Catalyst 4503 with a Supervisor II (WS-X4013) and 2 WS-X4548-GB-RJ45 inserted. I'm running 8.3(2)GLX on that switch. Will this configuration work? Are there any known performance problems running a Catalyst 4503 with a WS-X4013?
Regards
Peter

There are known performance limitations with Supervisor II, not necessarily performance problems. The Supervisor II is comprised of 3 12-gigabit (24-gigabit Full duplex) switching asics, interconnected by 1-gigabit connections. In addition, each slot of a cat4503 with Sup II only gains 6-gigabit/sec (12 gbps full-duplex) to the backplane.

Thanks for the answer. So your meaning is, that it is possible to use a switch like I described as a normal accessswitch? Or might I have some real problems regarding the perfomance?
Regards
Peter
