Catalyst 4506 WS-X4013

Does WS-X4013 Sup-II engine in 4506 supports Layer 3? because i wanted to configure VLAN & all VLAN's should speak each other.

if so what are the commands? though it is a CatOS i couldn't see any modules for L3 like what is there in 6509 eg. ses 15 or ses 16.

Hi Anand,

The WS-X4013 is layer 2 only. The supII+, SupIII, and later are all layer 3 capable.

Hi Anand,

No 4013 is a sup 2 module and it does not support any routing capability but you can insert a module which is 4232 L3 blade in same chassis which is capable of intervlan routing or you can upgrade your supervisor to sup2+,3 and above.
