Catalyst 6500 Supervisor variants

I have two Supervisors. One is identified as a WS-X6K-SUP2-2GE in module 1 whereas the second as WS-X6K-S2U-MSFC2 in module 1. Are these effectivelty the same supervisor but with different memory? Both have a WS-F6K-MSFC2 in Module 15. Do both these supervisors support the Switch Fabric Modules?

You are correct. The WS-X6K-S2U-MSFC2 comes with factory fitted 256 Mb of DRAM. If you upgrade an existing Sup2 to 256MB the "U" would be missing. Yes..both support SFM
