Catalyst 6509 Sup2/MSFC2 16mb to 32mb bootflash upgrade

Does anybody know if it is possible to upgrade the onboard flash (bootflash) on a Catalyst 6509 SUP2/MSFC2 shipped with 16MB. This is so that the native ios can be booted from bootflash.

If this is possible are there are documents detailing the procedure and what is the part number.

PS: I know that you can use the slot0: also.
