Could someone inform me how to to do a recovery procédure in case of a flash card failure on a 6509 running ios on external flash card. I have a MSFC2 AND IOS VERSION 12.2.18SXD3. I have a spare flash card on which ios is back up. What is the simplest way to recover from this type of failure. I find so many things that i am not sure which one is the correct one.
Is your 6500 currently in ROMMON? If you have a spare PCMCIA card with the IOS you need, from the ROMMON issue a "boot disk0:". If you are at RP rommon after the SP has booted, issue "boot sup-disk0:".
