Hello,
I have to upgrade a MSFC2 Board, Sup1A-2GE with DRAM from 128 to 256 MB.
1. Router shows only 128MB DRAM, with ios 121-13.E2. Maybe memory is defective.
Are there any issues about ?
2. BUT I have an (helpful) information about config-register on MSFC2 Board.
Reading cisco docus shows, both of values (0x102 or 0x2102) are usable.
My experience is: 0x2102 doesn't work, router comes up in boot mode.
config-reg value 0x102 works ok.
See information below.

You are correct, we are running the same environment (with 128k) and the config-reg is set at 0x102.

Hi, Do you have any experience with higher DRAM's , eg. 256MB

Hi again,
A lot of problems. Confreg 0x102 and 0x2102 doesn't work. If Cat is switched off and on again, router (msfc2) comes up in bootmode. No solution in sight...
