I have a little prob that seems to me a router not config prob.
I have set up a 2522 to a 2503.Both by serial 0 with a crossover CAB-HD60MMX cable.
The trouble I am having is when I set up these prts with ip's and igrp with a no shutdown command both interfaces they change state to up and protocol to up.
I can then do a show ip interface brief and get the right results.I can then do a
show ip route and get the right result.
Then after a minute or so both line protocols go down. This does not happen with the router sims so I suspect that it is one of the routers or the cable.(Although I have tried 3 cables.)
I have shown below what is going on from Router 2 below. The same happens on R1.
I'm a little lost so if you can help out..please do.

Have you set the 'clock rate' on the DCE side of the link ?
e.g clock rate 56000

HI
If i understand u u r trying to connect the two routers in back-to-back scenario.for this to accomplish u need to have one ned of router as a DCE and other as a DTE and make sure u r using the correct type of encapsulation on both the ends and u need to provide clock-rate at the DCE interface.I hope ur having a DCE-DTE back to back cable.
Thanks

I am using DCE-DTE crossover cable or back to back.
Thanks for your help guys.I think the clock rate is the prob. Will look into it further and get back to you on how it goes and the answer,
Thanks

Yeah with a clock rate of 4000000 I get around 2.24Mb/s.
So yes it all worked fine. Thanks for every thing.
