After upgrading the IOS on my 1721 router it crashes giving a checksum error for the IOS image. I can restore one of the original image copies (I made 2) but not the other, getting the same error.Iv'e tried 2 different IOS release images and get the same thing. Am I just getting a bad download? How can I verify the checksum of the downloaded image against what CISCO reports it as? Is there other sources for IOS releases? Other FTP sites?

Hi
The command to manually verify the ios for cheksum thru cli is verify flash:ios filename.
i would suggest to chek the exact file size which u hve downloaded.since ur able to restore the original image dont c any issues with the connecitivity ,also chek wether u got enough flash or mem prescribed by cisco to hve the new ios.
for ftp and tftp do try 3com server which is quite easy to handle and configure.
