I have a C-831 isolating the enterprise network from the consultants network. Now I need to have a second port off the C-831 connected to a VLAN to extend the consultant network. Do I need to use a cross-over ethernet cable when I have one of the 4 ports from the C-831 connected to a catalyst switch or just a straight cable?

You always treat the routers as a DTE and use a straight through cable. I think the easier thing to do would have been just cabling it up and see which one worked :-)

Thanks for the reply. This exact what I am going to do.
