Cisco Express Forwarding

I have implemented CEF on a Cisco 2600 router and have noticed that the outbound (tx) traffic appears to be using both serial lines, but the inbound (rx) traffic appears to be using only serial0/0. I have used the global commands ip cef, ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 s0/0, and ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 s0/1. With only one default route, only one serial line appears to be forwarding and receiving traffic.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

I'm not positive on this, but I'll take a stab at it. See if it makes sense.

Your outbound traffic has two default routes (as you know), so it makes sense that it would split traffic accross the two. Inbound traffic however would have to have the same two default routes (in reverse of course) in order to split the traffic coming back. Does that make sense or am I way off base?

Yes, it makes sense. That presupposes that I have control over the router configs at both ends of the circuit so that I can implement CEF and set the default routes at both ends. It also requires, I assume, that both circuits terminate into a single router on each end. I, unfortunately, do not have either luxury. I need a way to load balance traffic both inbound and outbound over two circuits to the Internet over diverse paths.
