I have Cisco NAM 2.1(2) blade installed and running in the module 9 of cat 6509 switch. . It's IP address is 10.0.0.7 , so whenever we need to monitor something, we type the http://10.0.0.7 in internet explorer address window and are prompted with a login screen. i have the username and password for that and i am able to get in and monitor everything.
But if I try logging into NAM by doing issuing the command "session 9" at CLI of catalyst switch in enable mode and i put in the same id and password, it gives a login incorrect message.
I want to know:
1. what is the default login username and password for NAM coz may be noone ever changed it.
2. if the defalut doesn't work, how do I do a password recovery.
Thanks

- The default NAM CLI username/password is root/root (case sensitive)
- You cannot use the CLI username (root or guest) and password to log into the NAM Traffic Analyzer application because they are
administered separately. You also cannot use your NAM Traffic Analyzer application username and password to log into the NAM CLI.
If you need to recover/reset the passwords, refer to the sections 'Web Username and Password Issues' and 'Changing and Recovering the NAM CLI Passwords' at: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat6000/cfgnotes/78_10406.htm
