hello - (total and complete newbie here)
i have been using a couple of different dlink routers that have port redirection.
from my research (and much to my surprise), there appears to be no linksys routers that do this.
are there any "beginner" cisco routers that have this option? i suppose you could say i am looking for a more intellegent router.
my issue: i have a half-dozen devices on my network that all want to answer to port 80. using port-redirect, i can assign each one a different port to the outside and the router will "redirect" to the proper device.
thanks,
mark

Hi,
What you're talking about is static nat/pat also called port forwarding on mainstream routers. You can do port forwarding on Linksys routers.
Here is a page aboutthe WRT54G: http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/WRT54G/
