I don't think the effects of compressing 2M (presummably X21) will dramatically impact the performance of a 7513. Your hardware supplier can provide you with performance projections with certain hardware and software combinations. Something they will ask is what type of VIP do you run ?
Try compressing one line but monitor the VIP with: "Show controllers vip tech" to note it's processing usage. If you compress al 16 lines, consult your reseller before purchasing compression hardware.
