I have two point-to-point T-1's in a multilink ppp configuration that is presently quite stable. However, our current business needs are starting to exceed the capacity on this 3 meg multilink bundle. With an upcoming strike by Verizon, I need to evaluate the various forms of compression.
I have two 3725 routers that are presently handling the two T-1's, weighted fair queueing, and EIGRP routing. Since I have plenty of processor capacity available, which form of compression would give me better efficiency until we can get another T-1 provisioned? Would header compression, or payload be better?
Thanks.
