On a point to point circuit. Does the Service Provider normally provide the clocking mechanism for HSSI interfaces or do I need to set one router on the PPP as master and the other as slave or is this for an ATM links only?
the provider will provide clock thru the modem/CSU's . You just then put a bandwidth statement on the interface to match what they are providing so that your metrics will be correct .
