Configuring Dialin using a Modem on the AUX Port

I have a Cisco 7206 router with Female RJ 45 AUX port.

I have connected the Modem to it via a Flat RJ 45 male-to-male cable and on the modem side I have used DB 25 pin male connector.

I have configured the AUX line also.

While making the reverse telnet session, I am able to get the login prompt, after putting the username and password I am unable get the prompt and the session gets hung.

Please help me in configuring this.

Why reverse telnet, you are probably mean dialout instead of dialin. Look at pin connections to make sure you are using the right cable.

Is echo on on the modem, if you type AT do you get an echo ?
