Good Day,

I am having troubles with NNM recognizing traps form cisco routers.

I have installed the following mibs already.

snmpv2-smi

snmpv2-tc

smpv2-mib

rfc1213

IF-mib rfc 2863

Cisco-If mib

Cisco-smi

cisco-products-mib

cisco-tc-mib

I think that i might need some additional mibs???

I would appreciate seeing someone elses list of mibs on NNM.

thanks

amanda

What are these traps which are not being recoganized by HPOV?. You can use the SNMP Object Navigator Tool on CCO:

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Mibbrowser/unity.pl to traslate any of the unknown traps and then load the MIBs accordingly. Also see:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/477/SNMP/mibs_9226.shtml

Loading MIB's into NNM doesn't configure the event handling. At the best TRAP-TYPE's in the MIB's will be entered, but you need to finalize the configuration yourself. Information like severity and alarm text simple isn't available in the TRAP-TYPE.
