I have the following scenario:
2 1721 routers that I want to connect through GSM modems. The Router to GSM connection is: serial(router side) to DB-25 connector on the modem.
Current settings:
Serial interface is set to async,
I can see the line 1 coming up in show line
I can reverse telnet to the modems and dial through at commands
When issuing show line 1 (one modem is showing idle and the other ready)
The problem is that serial interfaces are not coming up
Does anyone have an idea how to configure this setup?
Is there a difference between voice and data calls on GSM networks? (because I can do a voice call through the modems but not data calls)
Any URL or sample configuration would be helpful?
Is there a way to make the router auto-dial without going to at prompt? (In this scenario, imagine two normal dial-up modems connecting two routers)?
