I have a cisco 1700 and 1750, both with T1 csu/dsu Wic's. I am connecting these via cross over cable and they are not connecting. I have also used a straight through cable as well. Assuming ip addressing is correct. Should these be able to work on a cat5 ethernet between these directly connected. Or do i need db60's to connect these. Thanks

Normally in service you would use a straight cable, but back-to-back I think you need crossed. What did your crossover cable look like? An Ethernet crossover is not suitable. Working from first principles, I think it will work with 1-4, 2-5, 4-1, 5-2.
