Hi there,
I have a weird case here...I could not ping my 6509 switch's layer 2/supervisor module although it is still up and running. Any ideas on this?

You should provide more detailed info to pinpoint the issue. This could be anything:
-IP adress / subnetmask mismatch
-Routing issues
-Access-lists
-..you name it

What CAT OS are you running? See if you can console in and see the same symptoms as in the following bug

If it is due to CSCed38989 you will see this problem again after about 7 months. So make sure your CAT OS is past this bug.
