I ran across this problem with 12.1(22)EA1 and noticed that it was fixed in 12.1(22)EA2; however, when I loaded 12.1(22)EA5 I'm still having similar problems as noted in 12.1(22)EA1.
Does anyone know if Cisco actually fixed this problem...or if the EA5 compilation re-introduced the problem?
Thanks.

Hi,
I checked the release notes for the CISO IOS 2950. Only 12.(22)EA2 shows that the bug CSCeb55987 has been resolved in this release. No other IOS release notes like 12.1(22)EA3,12.1(22)EA4,12.1(22)EA5 doesnot talk about it.
I would suggest to fall back on 12.1(22)EA2 and see if you face the same issue. Keep us posted on that.
See the release notes for the same series.

I have since tried EA3 and EA4 with similar results. Certain hosts (intermittent) connected to the 2950 will not be able to see other hosts directly connected to a 3550 if the same 2 switches happened to be trunked together.
Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions other than punting either the 2950 and/or 3550?
Thanks.
