Hello,
I have a CAT4006 with SUP 3 running IOS (not CatOS). I upgraded the IOS from cat4000-is-mz.121-19.EW.bin to cat4000-i9s-mz.122-20.EWA.bin
After the upgrade the 4006 switch stopped issuing dhcp addresses. I recreated the IP dhcp pool without success. My only command change was "boot system flash: cat4000-i9s-mz.122-20.EWA.bin"
Any ideas why the upgrade stopped the DHCP from issuing IP addresses?
Thanks for your help and suggestions.

Make sure that the upgrade didn't modify the spantree portfast settings on your user ports . We are using that version and haven't seen any issues, though we do not use the switch to issue addresses . We are using Sup II pluses though .

Glen,
Thanks for the quick response. This switch has a SUP III (WS-X4014)
The new IOS did add "desirable" after one of the commands. At the moment I do not remember if it was spantree portfast or switchport mode.

Glen,
Looks like I remembered wrong. I checked the desirable was on the channel-group for both IOSes.
The running config was the same for both IOSes:
switchport access vlan 2
switchport mode access
spanning-tree portfast
Any ideas?
