Dial-out timer

Hi,

We use some Cisco 3640 12.2(23) with MICA portware 2.9.5.0 for async dial-in and out. I'm looking for a timer to specify the the ring-time for analogue dial-out call-attempts.

Reason: I'd like to disconnect the call when the remote-side is not answering the call within e.g. 10 seconds.

I've alreday checked the IOS commands and also the MICA modem S-registers for such a timer, but without success.

Any other ideas are very welcome. Thank's

You should be able to do this with chat scripts. There is a time out value that you can set which works at the level you want the timeout.

This example is taken from the above link and specifies if nothing happens with in 60 seconds the carrier will drop.
