Dial Up Connection Dropping

I have a dial up connection between 2 routers one is in DC and the other is in SC. The DC router initiates the call to the SC router. The modems between the two routers connect but the connection doesn't last it drops the connection after about 10 seconds and then redials the connection. Can anyone take a stab as to why the connection won't stay up. I checked the dialer and it tells me I have 5 successful connections and 100 faild attempts. Thanks.

If I remember correctly this is an Aux-to-Aux conenction between DC & SC.

Can you please collect the following debugs on both routers:

deb chat / deb modem / deb asyn state / deb ppp nego

What vendore external modems are used here?
