How do I get the configured duplex status on a c2950?
I check the "c2900PortDuplexState". It worked fine on c3500XL Series.
(3 = auto duplex).
But on c2950 Switches, as soon as the Port is 'up', it gives back the actual duplex state (i.e. 2 = half duplex).

You can use c2900PortDuplexStatus to poll the status.

what I try to check is, if a port is configured as auto-duplex.
c2900PortDuplexStatus does only show the "actual" duplex status (1=fd; 2=hd)
c2900PortDuplexState has three values (1=fd;2=hd;3=auto). BUT when polling a 2950 port which is actually configured as auto-duplex, i never get a '3' (if the port is up). It returns the resultat of the negotiation (i.e. 2=halfduplex).
Have anyone else encountered this behaviour? solutions?
thanks in advance, sam
