E1 Unframed Config

Could someone explain why it is not possible to terminate a unframed E1 (2.048Mbps) using the NM-1CE1U or NM-2CE1U network module.

Surely a channelized E1 card could handle an the above circuit - has a clock source etc?

Instead Cisco sell the VWIC-1MFT-G703.

The NM's you mention only support framed G704, you need support for unframed G703. You can read this over at this URL:
