Hello all,
Is there a way of tagging an EIGRP Internal route.
As you see from the topology table, there is no extral data fields in the routing entry for an internal so maybe is a NO NO.
Is there any other way of marking an EIGRP Internal route with any sort of tag?
Internal route
--------------
router1>sh ip eigrp topo 145.221.114.0 255.255.255.0
IP-EIGRP (AS 100): Topology entry for 145.221.114.0/24
State is Passive, Query origin flag is 1, 2 Successor(s), FD is 28416
Routing Descriptor Blocks:
145.221.101.229 (FastEthernet0/0), from 145.221.101.229, Send flag is 0x0
Composite metric is (28416/2816), Route is Internal
Vector metric:
Minimum bandwidth is 100000 Kbit
Total delay is 110 microseconds
Reliability is 255/255
Load is 1/255
Minimum MTU is 1500
Hop count is 1
145.221.101.233 (FastEthernet0/1), from 145.221.101.233, Send flag is 0x0
Composite metric is (28416/2816), Route is Internal
Vector metric:
Minimum bandwidth is 100000 Kbit
Total delay is 110 microseconds
Reliability is 255/255
Load is 1/255
Minimum MTU is 1500
Hop count is 1

External route
--------------
router1> sh ip eigrp top 11.111.3.0 255.255.255.252
IP-EIGRP topology entry for 11.111.3.0/30
State is Passive, Query origin flag is 1, 2 Successor(s), FD is 307456
Routing Descriptor Blocks:
10.10.11.25 (Ethernet0/1), from 10.10.11.25, Send flag is 0x0
Composite metric is (307456/281856), Route is External
Vector metric:
Minimum bandwidth is 10000 Kbit
Total delay is 2010 microseconds
Reliability is 255/255
Load is 1/255
Minimum MTU is 1500
Hop count is 2
External data:
Originating router is 10.10.55.94
AS number of route is 65000
External protocol is BGP, external metric is 0
Administrator tag is 1141 (0x00000E9D)

go through the following link to get information about route tagging in EIGRP.

It is not possible to tag an internal route. What is it that you are trying to achieve?
Thanks,

I have one enormous eigrp AS, which is migrating to a BGP core. In this AS, I have 3 countries, Bangkok, Korea, and India, and I want to tag all their internal routes with a tag of 120, so that I can control routing into the BGP core, but as the routes are all internal, there is no way of marking these routes - or is there?
Many thx,
Ken
