Scenario:
I have a 4500 switch. I have a 3560 switch.
I built a 2 port etherchannel on both then configured each as a dot1q trunk.
I connected the 2 switches.
On the 3560, I removed the etherchannel by removing the channel group from the interfaces. Then removed the virtual port-channel interface.
Can this cause problems?

Hi Friend,
It should not create any problem. As soon as you remove the interface from port channel config it is out from channel config but one the thing what you will see is that one port will go into STP blocking state as now it is not a part of port channel and there are 2 redundant links so Spanning tree will block one port.

As best practice you should clear both sides , you won't then be questioning at some later date why that config is there or what is it being used for .
