We have to adapt OpenView NNM to prpoerly recognise Cisco devices using HSRP. I've about some difficulties with that. Would anyone know about special pitfalls, things to do or not to do?
Thanx

Georg,
Which version of NNM are you using.
I currently am using IBM Tivoli Netview 6.0.2 which supports HSRP interfaces. There is a setting in the seed file which notifies netmon to see an address as an HSRP address.

Hi Phillip.
It's about HP OpenView NNM 6.2. It works similar. A flag in oid_to_type tells netmon to ignore certain changes. My question is how things look like in practice.
