Hi all,
Please help to feed back the following questions.
Brief network setup, 1x 6015 DSLAM, 8X827 ADSL Router and 1x2652 Router.
( Notes all using cisco product)
1, Cable spec for ADSL setup.
The existing cable layed ( voice grade ) are private own. would like to have the cable spec for ADSL setup, example max distance support , resistance ,db loss value, pin-layout & etc
2. 827 Router.
Can I link up two 827 back to back directly to run the ADSL without a DSLAM. Example, like using a back to back cable for serial port connection of two router.
3. Interoperability with others ADSL vendor product.
Base on the product list on top, Could it be able to communictae with other ADSL vendor product, either ADSL modem or DSLAM.
Thanks

I can try to answer your questions
1)here is the url for 827 pinouts
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/794/dsl_pinout.html#827
For 827 specs
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/pd/rt/800/prodlit/827hv_ds.htm
will all you need to know
2)No..827 will not ork for back to back connection..you can use 828 G.shdsl mode for that.
3)827 is based on DMT, so it will work with all the ADSL vendor DSLAMs with DMT technology

It has max cable distance..Now if you are looking for the how far you can have 827 from dslam, it depends on the data rates..Here is the url which covers the distance wrt data rates,
