Firmware upgrade for Catalyst 2820.

Can anybody advice if it is possible to upgrade firmware on Catalyst 2820 from version 5.34 to 9.x.

I have older type of 2820 Switch (WS-C2822). It is not WS-C2822-A and not WS-C2822-EN. It was manufactured on June 1997.

I have already file, but hesitate to do it. Version 5.34 doesn't have ability to upload existing image to TFTP server, and I am afraid to mess my switch.

I was looking at http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/28201900/

but it is confusing for me.

Please help.

The readme cat2820A.9.00.04.readme doesn't give any cautions and the only image in the software download area for that switch is cat2820A.9.00.04.bin so it should be fine. Does anyone else see any reason why this wouldn't work?
